THE STILLNESS CODE

Draft — under legal review

Privacy

What this covers

This policy describes how [Legal entity — to be confirmed] ("we") handles personal information collected through stillnesscode.com and its related domains.

The waitlist

When you join the First Readers list we collect your email address, your first name if you offer it, the interests you select (book, Practicum, retreats, films, speaking and press), the page you joined from, and basic campaign parameters.

We use this information to send you the email you asked for: word of the book, the first practice, and related work. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising.

Consent

Joining the list requires an explicit consent checkbox, and we record the time of that consent. You may withdraw consent at any moment using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us.

Interest segmentation

The interests you select are used only to send you more relevant email — for example, retreat news to those who asked for it. Selecting no interests is perfectly acceptable.

Future providers

Email delivery and list management may in future be processed by a dedicated email service provider and a dedicated database provider acting on our instructions. When a provider is engaged, this policy will name it before it processes your data.

Analytics

Analytics are disabled by default on this site. No third-party advertising tracker, pixel, or analytics script runs unless this policy is updated to say otherwise.

Retention

We keep waitlist information while the list is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. If you unsubscribe, we suppress your address from further sending and delete it on request.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within a reasonable period and never penalise you for asking.
