Whoever Can Provoke You Governs You
On provocation as a transfer of government — and the moment the lever stops working.

Inner Government
The Stillness Code is a seven-part system for governing attention, identity, imagination, speech, order, power, and surrender.
A new book and body of practice by Rev Benton.
The person who cannot govern their inner world will eventually be governed by the outer one.
The age competes for attention.
Fear competes for interpretation.
Old sentences compete for identity.
Stillness is where jurisdiction returns.
Stillness is not escape. It is the presence of command.
The Category
Inner Government is the disciplined practice of governing the interior life — not by suppressing it, but by presiding over it.
It is not emotional suppression, positive thinking, or the denial of facts.
Facts may testify.
They do not automatically take the throne.
The Method
Withdraw daily from the noise so the chamber can exist.
Live from the name you deliberately answer to.
Govern the workshop in which memory and possibility are rehearsed.
Treat words as decrees, not casual descriptions.
Give insight an architecture strong enough to survive Thursday.
Become what the room can no longer make you do.
Open the hand. The crown is received, not seized.

The Book
Seven codes. One throne. A governed life.
The book begins with noise and ends with government. It moves through silence, identity, imagination, speech, order, power, and surrender — one architecture, entered one room at a time.
The weather may remain.
The seat can still hold.

The Author
Author and Teacher of Inner Government
Rev Benton is an author, minister, and spiritual teacher whose work explores consciousness, prayer, identity, imagination, spiritual discipline, and the government of the inner life.
Formed through Christian ministry, contemplative practice, African spiritual inheritance, study, and decades of teaching, his work speaks from a definite spiritual home while remaining open to the whole human family.
The Stillness Code gathers the deepest architecture of that work into a seven-part system of Inner Government.
